RAHYAAB · ACCOUNT DELETION POLICY
Leave with a clear understanding.
You can request deletion of your RAHYAAB account and associated personal data. This page explains how to make the request and what it means.
Use the app’s account controls or contact the RAHYAAB team directly.
How to request deletion
Use your account settings
Open Profile → Settings → Delete Account in the RAHYAAB app and follow the confirmation instructions.
If you cannot access your account or find this option, use the email route below.
Contact the RAHYAAB team
Email contact@rahyaab.org with the subject RAHYAAB account deletion request. Include the email address or mobile number registered with your account.
Prepare deletion request ↗This opens an editable email draft. Review it and send it from your email app. What happens next?
- Identify your account. The team uses the registered details you provide to locate the account.
- Verify ownership. Additional verification may be needed to protect your account from unauthorised deletion. Do not send passwords, OTPs, UPI PINs or card credentials.
- Process the request. Account data is deleted or anonymised as described below. Contact the team for the status, expected processing time and details of any retained records.
Data covered by deletion
Personal data associated solely with operating your account is deleted or anonymised where reasonably possible. This may include account and profile information, saved Masjids, account-linked preferences and other account activity, where held by RAHYAAB.
Deletion removes access to the deleted account and its account-linked information. Save any information you need before completing deletion. Uninstalling the app alone does not request account deletion.
Records that may be retained
Some information may need to remain for legal, accounting, tax, payment, security or dispute-related purposes, as explained in the Privacy Policy.
- Donation, payment, receipt, refund and settlement records.
- Records needed for fraud prevention, security investigations or legal obligations.
- Records related to pending disputes, chargebacks or legal claims.
- Masjid verification records where needed for audit, compliance or dispute handling.
Retained data remains subject to appropriate safeguards and is kept only for as long as reasonably required for its purpose or by applicable law. It is not retained merely to keep the deleted account active. Ask the team which records apply to your account, why they are retained and the applicable retention period.
Masjid listings and third-party records
Deleting a personal account does not necessarily remove public Masjid information or records held independently by a Masjid, bank or payment provider. For a listing correction or removal request, or a question about those records, contact the team with the relevant details.
Delete specific data instead
You may also request correction or deletion of specific personal information without deleting the whole account, where technically and legally available. Describe the information in your email so the team can review the request.
